I was there 22 Jul 2024. Had difficulties finding which store took part in the Monday promotion. Went to a store number 7 satay they said they not involved and asked me to find management. It was about 540 pm. Went to drink store asked where was management. She couldn't tell me just pointed me outside, she also not sure where was management. Later went to another store, they managed to point me to a store with black shirt ppl. I was there at the correct store 6 pm but a black shirt ppl sternly asked me to go away as they started at 7 pm and did not want me to be on the road. So I went to eat other things, when I came back 635 pm a queue had formed of about 20 people and all were standing on the road. Later a dispute occurred when a lady wanted to stop queue cutting from happening behind her, I noted staff generally did not side with her. I think it was someone protecting a space for someone else. Quite disappointing performance of the staff. In fact one young staff openly said he won't be handling such matter with a smirk on his face before walking off. Overall quite an unhappy situation

Lousy FB admin. I messaged Lau Pa Sat on queries about the 130 years promotion but no one replied. Then the place has no indication that it is under ntuc. I paid in cash there in ndp 2023 for expensive char kway tiao without using fairprice app.

So sad, Singapore is losing all the good food at (sustainable &) affordable prices, what will eventually happen is we will only have those very high prices "luxury" food.😢 extremely high land prices will affect the consumers when the firms no choice but to keep raising prices due to ever increasing rental...

Not many people takes the MAS inflation index seriously. We keep thinking actual inflation is higher than the figures show. I suggest NTUC creact an index for a basket of goods that Singaporeans commonly buy. Call it the NTUC index. Items in the basket should include chicken, eggs, toilet rolls, toothpaste, napkins, loaf of bread, milk, the occasional piece of salmon or cod fish etc. NTUC, the government and the public could then clearly see how much inflation is upon the heartlanders on a daily basis. We dont buy car’s every month anyway. So who cares where COE goes? The Auntie centric Inflation Index would be more focused and could serve a purpose, if not more convincing. Shengsong can do it too. Call it SSI.

N t u c prices are no more cheap like before, I used to buy fruits but now are expensive than before, definitely n t u c will give excuses that they have to get higher costs supplier . Any increases there are excuses n reasons. Either want make more profits or blame on suppliers or importers.
